Criminal Record Check (CRC)

South Delta United takes the safety of our players very seriously. We require a copy of your police information check on file as long as you are working with our young members. Criminal record checks are valid for (3) years.

You need a current CRC on file:

If you are 19 years of age or older and serving as a:
Coach
Co-Coach
Assistant Coach
Team Manager
Team Gender Rep

If you are a member of:
Club Executive
Technical Staff
Referee

BC SOCCER RULE

BC Soccer Rule 21 – Risk Management (updated April 2017)

  1. All BC Soccer directors and every volunteer or employee of BC Soccer or an affiliated BC Soccer organization, age 19 and over, who at any time could be expected in the performance of their duties to:

ii)         be entrusted with performing financial duties;

iii)        be responsible for book keeping or bank account(s) or any other monetary duties;

must have on file the results of a Criminal Record Check.

  1. All BC Soccer directors and every volunteer or employee of BC Soccer or an affiliated BC Soccer organization, age 19 and over, who at any time could be expected in the performance of their duties to:
    • be with any vulnerable person

must have on file the results of a Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 36 months.

 

PROCESS FOR OBTAINING YOUR CRC

All applicants requesting a Delta Criminal Information Check must currently reside in Delta. SDU has now enrolled into the BC on-line system for obtaining your CRC:

There maybe be situations where additional checking is required and a manual check will have to be done.  Below is the process for this:

    1. Print and complete the Delta Police Information Check. Please ensure that all pages including page 3 are completed before you submit.
    2. Print and complete: SDU Coaches CRC Letter 2017
    3. Take completed forms to the Delta Police Department for processing/approval: 4455 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Ladner, BC
    4. Deliver completed/approved CRC to CRC Admin,  South Delta Soccer Club, PO Box 1147, Station A , Delta , V4M 3T2

All youth girls teams require at least one female member on staff.
